Conditions We Treat

Neck Pain
One of the more common reasons people come to see a chiropractor, neck pain is often a result of poor posture, stress, obesity, older age, accidents, and weakened muscles. Chiropractic care can help to correct misalignments that cause neck pain, stiffness, and fatigue.

Headaches
9 of 10 Americans report having headaches at one time or another. As the causes are numerous, the treatments also vary, but chiropractic care has been shown to relieve tension headaches, migraines, and cluster headaches.

Back Pain
Back pain is probably the most common reason a person sees a chiropractor. Not coincidentally, 80% of people report back pain at one time or another. This can be caused by any number of issues, including arthritis, obesity, poor posture, stress, accidents, and more. Back pain can be a symptom of many other issues, so identifying and correcting the root cause is incredibly important.

Hip Pain
Your hips are involved in nearly every movement you make. As a result, pain in you hips may be related to other problems such as the sacroiliac joints, a hernia, arthritis, osteoporosis, trauma, or spinal degeneration. Through proper diagnosis and treatment, chiropractic care is invaluable in relieving hip pain.

Arm, Shoulder, Leg Pain
Often, pain in the arms and legs isn't caused by a problem in those parts of your body, but rather by a misalignment in your neck or back. Often, a chiropractor can identify the area by touch. You'll feel a slight tenderness when that spot is touched, and it can be corrected with proper adjustment. Exercise can be used to strengthen appropriate areas and prevent further problems.

Numbness
We've all had an arm "go to sleep". This pins and needles tingling sensation is due to an interference in the nerves between the brain and the affected limb. What if it persists? This is an issue that must be dealt with sooner rather than later. Over time, this interference can cause permanent damage to the nerves, leading to permanent numbness or even paralysis.

Stiffness
Like pain in the joints, a general stiffness is often caused by poor posture, repetitive motion, tightening or weakness in the muscles, or other issues. Chiropractors and massage therapists are able to loosen up these muscles, easing the tension and making a person feel better overall.

Scoliosis
Scoliosis is a sideways curvature of the spine of ten degrees or more. This usually begins at a young age, between 10 and 15. As this age group is a rapidly growing, the curvature can worsen rapidly. It can often be corrected with spinal manipulation, electrical muscle stimulation, and therapeutic exercise. Correction is important as in severe cases, scoliosis may affect the heart, lungs, or other organs.

TMJ
TMJ stands for Temporomandibular Joint Disorder. This can be manifested in pain when you open your mouth wide or chew, as well as an audible pop when you open your mouth, locked jaw, and more. TMJ is caused by myofascial problems, dislocation, displaced discs, or a degenerative joint disease such as rheumatoid arthritis or osteoporosis. TMJ is often treated with chiropractic care, massage, hot/cold therapy, and exercise

Sports Injuries
While sports and exercise are encouraged to help a person maintain optimal health, injuries do occur. In the event of a sports injury, it's incredibly important to see your chiropractor as soon as possible before continuing the activity that caused the injury. These injuries can include strains, sprains, tendonitis, stress fractures, and more.

Auto Accidents
Auto accidents are incredibly violent events, and can cause any number of problems. As chiropractic physicians, we excel in identifying and correcting the underlying issues that cause aches and pains following an auto accident. A large part of our patient base is sent to us by referring physicians for accident rehabilitation.

Arthritis / Bursitis
Inflammation of the joints, which can cause pain and stiffness in joints. Rheumatoid arthritis is a specific type of arthritis that normally affects the wrist and finger joints, but can affect others, and is normally symmetrical. Other rheumatic conditions include fibromyalgia, osteoarthritis, psoriatic arthritis, and more. For people with these chronic conditions, regular chiropractic care is essential to relieve pain and prevent the condition from worsening.
